So I went back and read this book by Dr. Matthew Walker who is a Professor of Neuroscience and Psychology at the University of California, Berkeley, and Director of the Center for Human Sleep Science. He is also the lead sleep scientist at Google. He wrote a book called Why We Sleepand it has completely changed my perspective on sleep.
