In this film, he interviews Flip Pallot about the legacy of Lefty Kreh. Jared gives us all of the behind the scenes of the film, and how he got to where he is today. I first learned of Capt. Peter Deeks from my friend and mentor Bill Dance. He spoke very highly Peter and that made me take notice. A second trusted friend, Joe Simmonds of Salt Strong also had a very high regard for Peter. I did a little research and got Peter on the show to discuss how he became Bill Dance’s go to guide in saltwater, how he manages to put over 100,000 miles on his truck, countless hours on engines, all in the pursuit of keeping his clients happy and returning. It is working. Peter has an excellent reputation that precedes him. I found out why. Rob Chapman has been posting pictures of some massive trout lately. Rob is a good friend of mine and I just had to have him on the show to learn more about how he’s been catching these fish. Cole Harrison is a native to Key West and has now found himself living in Fiji. I first discovered Cole because of his impressive Instagram photos (triplec.cole) and especially some of his underwater shots. Cole grew up in Key West and has an extensive knowledge of the fish that live there. He has a lot of experience spear fishing and continues to target incredible fish in Fiji, including the dogtooth tuna and some massive spanish mackerel. Brady Trautman and Alex Blue of SV Delos fame were part of a team that just released an amazing documentary about their sailing trip around the island of Svalbard. Together with Brian Trautman and Karin, they teamed up with Andy Schell and Mia Karlsson on the SV Isbjorn to form an 8 person team for this adventure. Svalbard lies 600 miles north of Norway and part of the island is above 80 degrees north, or the Arctic Circle. Brady and Alex have some incredible stories from the trip about the wildlife, geology, ice and also trash from fishing gear, nets and general plastic coming from around the world. The adventure was incredible and it spawned the desire for more while asking the questions about how to responsibly visit a fragile area such as Svalbard. Alexa Score is a professional wakeboarder, Tv Host and a Cancer survivor. She has an amazing story of overcoming cancer at a young age, moving across the country to pursue professional wakeboarding before she even turned 18, and how she has now become a host for many television shows. This week I had the chance to sit down with Nick Lavery, a U.S. Green Beret Warrant Officer. Nick has earned three Purple Hearts, a Silver Star, a Bronze Star, and a Bronze Star with Valor, for heroism in combat. With an incredible story of perseverance after he suffered many injuries in battle, resulting in having his leg amputated above the knee, Nick overcame tremendous odds to become the first above the knee amputee Green Beret to return to active duty. Through this experience, Nick gained a unique perspective and offers some incredible advice about life, perseverance, motivation, and work ethic that can benefit each of us.
