Podcast Synopsis
Miles “Sonar” Burghoff, host of Sweetwater TV and a self proclaimed shallow water fishing fanatic came to my podcast studio to talk about the fires in California where he used to live and still has family,. We also talked about his tournament fishing and hosting a TV Show. Miles is super easy going and very friendly - I’ve had him on the podcast before (Pro Bass Fishing) and love hanging out with him and talking.
It was very interesting to get more insight into the ongoings in Paradise, California and how it affected everyone. Miles grew up in Paradise and lost his childhood home to the fires and had to check in with a lot of friends and family who still live there. I heard that the fire was moving at the rate of 80 football fields per minute - and Miles said that there was some green foliage left behind because the fire was moving at such a high speed. Miles said he struggled with being so far away and not being around to help the community and be present after the catastrophe.
Miles did open a GoFundMe page to try to do what he could to help the people affected by the fires called Camp Fire Relief. Please go donate to help all those impacted.
