TOM ROWLAND PODCAST

Chad Shares His Story
Hey Tom,
My name is Chad, I’m Jordan Gallup’s cousin. Not sure if you remember but you signed a couple photos for myself and my boys about a year ago and Jordan sent them to us. We loved the photos and hung them in our boys’ bedrooms. We really appreciated the gesture!
I wanted to reach out and tell you how much I’ve enjoyed the podcast. In fact, I have to say that its really motivated me to follow my passion for fishing. To give you some background, I grew up fishing in Broward County but spent my summers in Wisconsin fishing for Muskies and Northern Pike at our humble family cabin. My wife and I met in Afghanistan, and we both still work for the USG but we now live in Miami. I am extremely fortunate that my wife and young boys all love to fish! Whether it’s peacock bass in the canals or snapper under the mangroves, both boys love to fish! It’s fun times, and I’ve taken your advice to focus on keeping the rod bent!
Back to my passion. I love to fish, but I also really enjoy putting people on fish, and helping people experience the thrill and joy of catching fish! It’s taken some time but I recently decided to start a land based guide business in Miami to target peacock bass. It’s still in its infancy, and I’m not exactly sure what it will turn into but I’m pursuing it to see where it leads. That said, back in June I had the opportunity to take some guys who work for a fishing technology company called Anglr out to find Peacock Bass in Miami. The trip went well, they got some good footage, and this month I was invited to begin writing articles for Anglr. Below is my first article. It’s all about targeting Peacock Bass in Miami and I wanted to share it with you.

My plan is to use the articles to jumpstart my guide service. I’m sure you get offers all the time to go fishing, but if you ever come through Miami on your way down to the Keys I would love to take you out to catch some peacock bass!
Anyways, the podcast is fantastic and the Nelson family is really looking forward to the next season of Saltwater Experience!
Take care and hope you enjoy the article,
Chad
