For one week each June, nearly two hundred crews prepare their state-of-the-art multimillion-dollar boats and head to the Gulf Stream in pursuit of the prize of the Atlantic—a prize-winning blue marlin. Thousands of spectators flock to the Big Rock Landing hoping to catch a glimpse of history at the weigh-ins, while out in the blue anglers engage in lengthy battles with marlin in the range of five to nine hundred pounds. It’s the most electrifying spot on the Eastern Seaboard during that six-day period when life revolves around the epic annual maritime hunt known simply as The Big Rock. This year, Michael Jordan entered the 62nd installment of the annual tournament and made an immediate impact. Jordan and the crew on his boat, Catch 23, reeled in a 442-pound blue marlin Tuesday, the second day of the tournament in the basketball great's home state of North Carolina.

Matson Rogers- Angler’s West, Emigrant MT

This season marks Matson's 29th year guiding! Growing up in a family immersed in the sport of fly fishing and living next to fabled trout streams like the Roaring Fork in Colorado and the Brule in northern Wisconsin, he has been fly fishing since the age of 4.

Beep Test And Other Benchmarks

The Multistage Fitness Test, also called the Beep Test or even the Bleep Test in some places, is a simple test of fitness. All you need is 20 m of open space and the audio linked in this article and you can test your fitness.

You simply follow the cues on the audio and at the sound of the beep, run 20 m to the other line. Stop there and wait for the next beep which sends you to the other line. You will continue doing this as the time between the beeps decreases. When you can no longer keep up the test is over.

Chris “Tatted Strength” Luera started down a very bad road at a young age. Beginning with tagging buildings, Chris quickly escalated his criminal activity to include drugs. He was smoking crack cocaine long before he could drive and this life led him to be incarcerated many times. Chris thought he was a career criminal and if it wasn’t for the love of his mom who believed in him, he may have been. Chris got out of prison and changed his life for good. He discovered competitive Calisthenics and became a 3 time World Champion. He was traveling the world rather than sitting in a cell. This was possible by changing the way he thought. Memorial Day Murph - Options For Scaling Down Or Up

Memorial Day is an opportunity to pay our respects to those who have served and sacrificed. Many choose to do a tough workout on this day and the most iconic is the Murph Workout which honors Lt Michael Murphy. The Murph Workout is: Run 1 mile, 100 pullups, 200 pushups, 300 squats, Run 1 mile. To do it as prescribed, wear a 20 lb vest. As we approach Memorial Day, I wanted to visit this workout and offer some suggestions to scale down for those who are not ready for this volume or scale up for those who want a real challenge. We also go over the reason that Lt Michael Murphy was awarded the Medal of Honor as well as the story of Operation Redwing.

Gena Laielli - 5332 Burpees for Omphalocele and a Guinness World Record

Gena Laielli holds the Guinness Book of World Records Most Burpees in 24 Hours. She completed 5332 Burpees to beat the previous record and take the official title. That is cool, but what is really cool is why she did it. Her daughter had omphalocele, a rare condition, and the Record was to bring awareness to this condition to provide hope for other parents and children with the condition.
