Hank Patterson is one of my favorite Fly Fishing personalities. I have to admit that I was more than a little star-struck while conducting this interview. From Yellowstone Survival Guide to Camp Hawgadawgaa, I have followed Hank for years and it was a real pleasure to find out what makes him tick. Hank and I got to discuss his story of how he got into fishing and how he became a fly fishing guide. We were able to talk about the ways he deals with clients and his preference for a low-bar mentality. Hank also talks about teaching children to fish and the best ways to train them in fishing. His number one rule is to have someone other than him teach your kids and if your kids are smart then leave them at home.
